Driver Amplifier

Driver Amplifier is used as source power offset. Defining positive offset for amplification or negative offset for attenuation, IQSTAR will apply an offset value on each RAW power level defined during the calibration and measurement steps. Driver Amplifier information provides a fast method of compensating port power for added attenuation or amplification in the source path. It's an alternative to the Raw Power Calibration.

When clicking on the “Driver Amplifier”, the following menu appears on the right side of the schematic editor:

  • Max gain: set the maximum transducer gain or enter an *.S2P file in order to either extract automatically the maximum gain (max(abs(20*log10(S21))) or select the gain at a specific frequency by selecting 'Freq' and entering the frequency value
Note: Click on the icon or select a file included in the Files manager of IQSTAR through the icon. *.S2P file can be plotted using the icon.
