S-parameters Measurement Panel
S-parameters measurement panel is composed of four sections :

Run Controller
- Single (per point): the measurement is triggered once per measurement point and *.s2p (or *.csv) file is saved
- Single (full sweep): the measurement is triggered once per measurement frequency and *.s2p (or *.csv) file is saved
- Continuous: the measurement is triggered in continous mode until it's set to
pause (
) or stop (
) by the user.
Measurement File:
- Browse and save the measurement file in a folder using
. If empty, IQSTAR pops up a browser at the end of the measurement in order to save the measurement data
Note: Click on
,
is it possible to choose output file format : "Measurement Files (*.imx)",
"Unencryped Measurement Files (*.im)", "MDIF Files (*.mdf)", "CITI Files
(*.cti)" or "CSV Files (*.csv)".

Note: Each extension setting can be defined using
:

- for *.s2p files, the interface is the following :
- for *.im or *.imx files, the interface is the following : IM Export
- for *.csv files, check CSV Export
- for *.mdf files, check MDIF Export
- Tags: add some variable names and values to the output measurement
file name. As an example use q_Vinput and q_Iinput variables
to generate the output name like S-parameters
q_Vinput=1.5V,q_Iinput=0.1A.s2p . The configuration of tags option
is done using Note: Tags feature is useful to automatically name the output files thought the sweep plan.
- Append: this feature allows to add new S2P measurement data at the
end of an existing file.Note: As the S2P is a standard format, when the append feature is selected, the S-parameters data will be saved in a proprietory *.imx format.Warning: Only available with IQSTAR Measurement Files.
Information:
These information fields will be used by the visualisation and analysis tools in order to filter, sort data or to provide labels, titles or legends. The information entered here is saved in the header of the output file. To learn more see S-Parameters Files.RF Stimulus:
- Frequency sweep (Hz): the calibration frequency
list will be set by default. Click on
icon to open the 'Frequency editor' and modify the frequency list
Note: 'Frequency editor' is a tool used to define frequency sweeps or frequency segments. Click on 'Clear' or 'Inject into list' to add or remove frequencies. It is possible to select the frequencies available in the selected calibration file by clicking on 'Select frequencies from calibration'. It's also possible to save or load a frequency list (*.freq files) usingicons.
- Allow frequency interpolation: if the list of RF stimulus frequencies is different from the calibrated one, IQSTAR will interpolate the errors terms
- Power Levels: set the power levels at the input and the output reference
planes.Note: If Driver Amplifier are defined in the schematic, the power set at the sources will take into account the driver amplifiers offset set in the schematic.
Viewers
Allows to define a specific Real time viewer profile when new measurement is started. (useful during a Sweep Plan).
