Scalar Calibration
Scalar Power Calibration allows to correct the power sensors measurement in the DUT plane. Scalar power calibration is available when at least two power sensors and one RF source are activated in the Setup Editor. Depending on the measurement type and the number of measured parameters, different calibration types are possible.
Scalar Cal Type | Setup Editor Requirements | Calibration Steps | Available Measurements Output data |
---|---|---|---|
Scalar Calibration using 2 Power Sensors Scalar Calibration using S-parameters files | 1) RF Source 2) Two Power Meter |
Input Power Sensor calibration to extract losses between Input Power Sensor
and Input DUT plane + Output Power Sensor calibration to extract losses
between Output Power Sensor and Output DUT plane. |
1-Tone Measurements (Pin_available, Pout , Gt,Transducer Efficiency, …)
* 2-Tones Measurements (Pin_available, Pout, Gt, Transducer Efficiency, C/In, OIPn, …) |
* Vector Signal Analyzer isn't Mandatory for calibration, but should be enabled for 2-Tones Measurements, Video Bandwidth (VBW) Measurements, Modulation Measurements and I/Q Measurements . | |||
Scalar Calibration using 3 Power Sensors Scalar Calibration using S-parameters files | 1) RF Source 2) Three Power Meter |
Input Power Sensor calibration to extract losses between Input Power Sensor
and Input DUT plane + Reflected Power Sensor calibration to extract
losses between Reflected Power Sensor and Input DUT plane + Output Power
