Before starting any measurement, it's important to check the calibration. The validation
of a calibration can be done at the end of the calibration process to ensure that it was
well performed but it can also be done anytime the user wants to check if the
calibration of the bench is still within the range of desired accuracy. IQSTAR embeds a
Validation Calibration Wizard, which allows to associate a validation report to a
calibration ID.
The Validate Calibration is listed in the 'Calibration Actions' window of the
Calibrations tab.
Note: To activate the Validate Calibration action, a calibration must be
selected.
Validate calibration is proposed by default at the end of each calibration
process.
Following the type of Calibrations, different validation processes
are available Small Signal Validation and/or Large Signal Validation.
After a validation process, an associated calibration report is automatically generated
in IQSTAR. This report contains all S-parameters(
Small Signal Validation) and large signal verifications (
Large Signal Validation).
Note: The measurement file associated to
the calibration report is available in the
Files
manager. It can be opened and displayed in the whiteboard.
Warning: The report file is linked to the calibration. If the calibration is
deleted, the report file will be deleted as
well.
Note: The time and date at the right indicate when the last the calibration verification
was done.
Note: It is possible to compare the performances of multiple calibrations by selecting
more than one, as showed in the example above.
