Small Signal Validation

Before starting any measurement, it's important to verify the calibration. The validation of a vectorial calibration could be done during the calibration process (Calibration Check) but also at the end using the Validate Calibration wizard. The small signal validation step is available only for Vectorial VNA Calibration.

Select Perform S-Parameters Measurement to validate the calibration in small signal. In order words, this step will validate the vectorial calibration based on the 12 terms error matrix.

The frequency Sweep and the power levels can be set for the calibration validation.

Note: IQSTAR will automatically apply interpolation, if frequencies requested were not calibrated.

Once the frequency sweep is done, it's possible to check the results on S11 in Mag/Phase or S21 in Mag/Phase. The following results will automatically be included in the Calibration Report.

It is possible to either pursue with the Large Signal Validation or click "Finish" to end the process.
