Absolute Power Validation

The validation of the power calibration can be done after completing the bench calibration.

In order to run this verification, initialize your bench and connect the power sensor at the input DUT reference plane (take care to protect your power sensor if needed):

In 1-Tone measurements configuration, set a frequency list and a power sweep, then start the measurements. When the power level reaches a value of interest set the bench on pause .

In this example, the Input Power is -0.66 dBm as illustrated by the marker in the figure above. As the bench is on Pause, the RF source is still ON and it is possible to verify the value measured by the power sensor at the input DUT reference plane.

After checking few Input power points by comparing IQSTAR input power and power sensor measurements, it's possible to check the output power by connecting a THRU as a DUT and running the same power sweep at the same frequencies. As the DUT is a THRU, the Gain should be 0dB which meands that Input Power should be equal to Output Power.
