DUT Biasing

Bias actions are used to apply a voltage in DC or pulsed mode. DUT biasing optimization can also be selected. In order to let IQSTAR control the input voltage to reach the desire output current, see this section for more information: DUT Biasing.

Set the power supplies to be used (Access) and the voltage to apply (Quiescent and/or Pulse). Make sure to verify if at this level of the sequence the power supply is On or OFF. DUT biasing is a punctual action (no sweep capability).

DUT biasing command action

DUT biasing command action logo DUT biasing sweep [Loop]

This item has sweep capabilities. Select the power supply and then enter the range of level to apply.

DUT biasing sweep command action

As this is a loop action, it can be instantiated in order to create the sequence:

In the example above, the sweep plan will perform the measurement with 15 (5x3) different biasing conditions:
  1. Input bias 1; Output bias 1
  2. Input bias 1; Output bias 2
  3. Input bias 1; Output bias 3
  4. Input bias 2; Output bias 1
  5. ...

Select if the power supply has to be set ON or OFF. By default all power supplies are OFF, biasing action only apply a level but don't turn ON the supply.

DUT power state command action

To configure the DUT power state, set the access to turn ON or OFF It is also possible to select all the power supplies at the same time.
If the DUT power state is set to ON for a specified access, the icon on the sweep plan will be a green icon with the name of the access (example: ).

This actions is punctual and completely described in the section DUT Biasing.

DUT optimization command action

DUT optimization action logo DUT optimization [Loop]

This actions is based on the DUT single optimization and described in the section DUT Biasing at the only difference that it can sweep on all the values contained in I2:

Click on the three dots located in the I2 textbox to open the sweep editor window:

Once this is done, this block will loop the others blocks contained for each polarization values after having run the optimizer.
