Rohde & Schwarz NRP/NRP2 Installation

Pre-Installation

Before proceeding to any other operation, you need to install National Instruments VISA layer.
This can be done through the install of one of the setups provide by NI: NI488.2, NI-VISA or NI-VISA runtime.
You have to check that the ‘Measurement & Automation’ (MAX) and the ‘VISA layer’ are checked during install.

NRP Toolkit

You can find this software on Rohde & Schwarz website: https://www.rohde-schwarz.com/fr/logiciel/nrp-toolkit/

NRP NI-VISA Passport

You can find this software on Rohde & Schwarz website: https://www.rohde-schwarz.com/fr/logiciel/nrpz/
You need to reboot your computer after the installation.

GPIB Address

To use your Rohde & Schwarz USB power sensor, first you need your GPIB instrument address.
As it is used as a plug-in layer on NI-VISA, you can’t find it with the instruments scanner.
You must launch the National Instruments ‘Measurement & Automation’ (MAX) software.
In ‘Miscellaneous VISA Resources’, you’ll find your USB power sensor and its GPIB address.
