Perform Tunable Filter Simulation

How to perform a simulation involve tunable filter in System Architect application. The blocks are used to simulate, interpolate and extrapolate discretized S2P data along one control data in continous mode.

To begin this task, you will need:

The basic steps to perform a Tunable filter simulation are:

  1. Choose the template Tunable filter palette. Drag and drop the tunable filter block from the palette window to the schematic window.

  2. Double-click on the Tunable filter block to open the parameter window and fill the following fields :
    • Model parameter file : ..\data_example\Tunable_Filter\TunableFilter_stepVolt.dat
    • Interpolation method : Cubic spline
    • Control parameter value : ctrl
  3. Fill the control parameter value with the variable ctrl defined in the var block.

The ctrl value is scanned to control the location of the central frequency of the filter. So this example is a direct implemenetation of a tunable filter model defined in the range 10 MHz - 40 GHz.
  4. The corresponding graphics window can be viewed directly in the output graphs tab .

  5. User can choose the ctrl value settings with the data filter :
