Perform Parameterized SnP Simulation

How to perform a simulation involve parameterized SnP component in System Architect application. The blocks are used to simulate, interpolate and extrapolate discretized SnP data along one or more control data (i.e. parameters)..

To begin this task, you will need:

The basic steps to perform a parameterized SnP simulation are:

  1. Choose the template SnP Parameterized palette. Drag and drop the Parameterized SnP block from the palette window to the schematic window.

  2. Double-click on the SnP block to open the parameter window et fill the filed in the following way :
    • Model parameter file : ..\data_example\switch\S3P-par-2.dat
    • Data type : S-parameters
    • Data format : Parameterized touchstone format
    • Interpolation method : Cubic spline
    • Control mode : Switch
  3. Fill the control parameter value with the varaible ctrl defined in the var block.

The ctrl value is scanned to control which port is switched on an off. Sio this example is a direct implementation of a switch model defined in the range 10 MHz - 40 GHz.
  4. The corresponding graphics window can be viewed directly in the output graphs tab .

  5. User can choose the ctrl value settings with the data filter :
