AWG-IWF

Description: this is a block that allows to run waveform signal generated from the tool Waveform Generator. This signal source is mainly used in transient simulation mode (see Simcontroller) in combination with IQ PROBE.

Figure: AWG-IWF Parameters

  • Signal type: allows to configure the output signal as complex or real

  • Signal unit: specify the signal record average power control ; dBm : the signal record will be affected an average power in dBm; Rms Volt: the signal record will be affected an average power in RMS volt; Original data : no average power control, the amplitude of the exact signal record is affected a scale factor
  • Signal average power: signal average power  (in unit above) or scale factor
  • Internal impedance: internal impedance of the source

  • Add noise: validate in order to take into account the noise file.
  • Use noise file: user can add one NF file versus frequency in order to take into account the noise of the source.
Figure: AWG-IWF Export

  • Tag as model export: check it in order to use the connected node as an input port. See Perform model export.

  • Signal file: define the path to the *.iwf file obtained from the Waveform Generator tool. Once the file has been loaded, the signal properties are displayed and used to configure the simulation parameters correctly.

  • Once the file has been uploaded, this section provides information about the parameters used during post-processing in the IQ PROBE block, such as the ACPR.
