TRL Fixture

TRL Fixture is a tool that computes input and output fixture sections in order to de-embed measurement to the desire reference plane.

This tool can be found in 'Plug-ins' > 'Toolboxes' > 'S-parameters' > 'TRL Fixture Extraction'

In order to compute the two *.s2p files of the fixture sections, you must have s2p files of :

• THRU
• Delay
• Reflect

Extract TRL fixtures:

1. Fill thru, delay and both reflect with the corresponding s2p files
2. Set the Z0 impedance value a the DUT side (a fixture is an impedance transformation from 50ohms access 1 on this example to DUT optimum access 2)
3. Select the orientation of the generated fixtures files
4. Click 'Calculate' to compute the S2p file
   Optionally you can set the Thru delay (some test fixture doesn't have THRU with delay =0ps). It is also possible to set a delay for the Short reflect (Offset length).
