Import Files

Overview

From the whiteboard, it's possible to import data using two ways :
  1. Using the Datasource :

The whiteboard visualization data can be added in the 'Datasource' plug-in. To access 'Datasource', click on the icon on the top left of IQSTAR windows.

To import measurement files in the 'Datasource', select open or drag and drop files.
Note: Recent files are also listed on bottom.

Once the data file is loaded in the 'Datasource', it is possible to create a new graph (Graph) in the wprkspace windows. Each Control (Graph, Table …) have automatically the main source set to "Datasource selection":

Note: The Datasource is available for "Whiteboard Editor" and "Whiteboard Viewer" licence options. However, the "Worksapce Viewer" (which is a free "dynamic report viewer") doesn't include the Datasource plugin. In this case the file has to be embedded in the workspace and the import control must be used.
  2. Using the Import control:

Import control allows to select a particular data file for particular control (as graph or table). To use the import control, data files have to be embedded in the workspace, as described in Files.

Once the import file is configured as a source for controls, you can select one or multiple data files to populate childrem controls.

Note: This "Import" control has to be used to identify the data source for the controls in order to read a report in the "Workspace Viewer" (because the "Workspace Viewer" doesn't embbed the "Datasource" plugin).

Configuration

This 'Import control' is composed of two different parts:
  • Selection: allows to set the datafiles selection options.

    • "Selectable by user" allows to select the datafile directly in the workspace. If disabled, the selection will be done in "Import" control configuration (which is available only with the "Whiteboard Editor" licence).

    • Drop-down list allows to specify the Import control as a "Drop-down list".

    • Multi-Selection allowed allows to select multiple datafiles.
  • Display allows to set the import control display options.
    • Font: select the title font options (Fonts Type, Size, Bold, Italic)

    • Color: select the title color
    • Bakgrond: select the background color
  • Border:

    • Color: select the border color
    • Type: select the border line options (Thickness, Dash Pattern, Dash Phase ...)
