NPR Measurements
Noise Power Ratio (NPR) is a factor a merit commonly used in space dedicated applications to measure the performances of a device. In this mode, IQSTAR uses an RF source to generate the IQ Waveform, as well as a VNA to acquire the wave's spectrums in the DUT input and output planes.
Requirements
Available measurements are linked to the Schematic configuration
and the selected Calibrations. In order to get access to the NPR
measurement, the following configuration must be respected:
- Vector Network Analyzer needs to be enabled in the Schematic and must have the correct spectrum options.
- RF Source needs to be able to generate IQ waveform (modulation options).
- 1-Port Enhanced Calibration or Full 2-Ports & Absolute Power Calibration needs to be enabled
To run the NPR measurements, the bench must be correctly set and calibrated. Once
these steps are done, it's possible to initialize the system ( ) and access
