NPR Measurement Panel: Receiver

Define Spectrum trace aquisition and NPR / ACPR settings.

Spectrum

This part of the configuration is used to define the spectrum parameters for the measurement.

  • Frequency span: Sets the capture frequency span
  • Resolution bandwidth: Sets the capture resolution bandwidth, can be manually set or automatically set by the instrument.
  • Video bandwidth: Sets the capture video bandwidth, can be manually set or automatically set by the instrument.
  • VBW to RBW ratio: Sets the ratio between resolution and video bandwidths.
  • Sweep time: Sets the instrument sweep time.
  • Averaging count: Sets the averaging to use during the acquisition, disabled means no averaging or equal to 1.
  • Point count: Sets the number of points to acquire. This setting can be very important if the RBW is low, as the captured points can be off of the generated tones in the signal on the X axis.

Wave measurement

This part of the configuration is used to specify which trace needs to be measured and so saved in the measurement file.

Note: In case of a 3 receivers measurement, the A2 spectrum will contain only zeros.

NPR

This part of the configuration allows to specify the location of the channels, similarly to the ACPR channels, described in the next section.

Adjacent Power Channel

In order to compute the Adjacent Channel Power Ratio (ACPR) for each power and each frequency, it is mandatory to define the template of the channels. Use to add one or multiple lines in the Carrier Settings (Main channels = Reference channels) or Offset Settings (Adjacent or Alternate channels).

Bandwidth ('BW') of carrier and offset settings define the integration bandwidth used to calculate the power in each channel. 'Offset' of carrier and offset settings are referenced to the central frequency, as explain in the graph below.

Lower and Upper reference carrier are used in the case of multi-carrier signals. There is serevals references :
  • All : Mean power of all carriers
  • Minimum : Minimum carriers power of all carriers
  • Maximum : Minimum carriers power of all carriers
  • First : First carriers power from left to right
  • Last : Last carriers power from left to right
  • Custom : Select the carrier you want to take as reference
