VNA



When clicking on the VNA icon, the following window appears.



The fields of the Hardware tab to fill are:

  • Driver: select the appropriate driver
  • Address: set the address of the instrument (GPIB, LAN, ...)
  • Options: additional driver options (depends of selected driver)
  • VISA library: set the VISA DLL which will be used to communicate with this instrument
  • Command timeout: elapsed time before returning an error message if no response
  • Command delay: delay before sending a command
  • Test connection: send a command to the GPIB bus to test the instrument connection
  • Input port: select the input port channel
  • Output port: select the output port channel

Note: The VNA could be controlled using GPIB interface (talker/listener port) or via LAN interface.

In LAN interface you can use SOCKET protocol: TCPIP0::IP address:: 5025::SOCKET , or SICL protocol : TCPIP0::IP address::inst0::INSTR.

We recommend to use SICL protocol for all your instruments.

In the "Setup" tab, fields to fill are:



  • IF bandwidth set the IF bandwidth
  • Averaging set the averaging
