Perform RF generator raw power calibration
To begin this task, you will need:
- To have opened and configure an extraction setup. See HPA device measurement or Mixer device measurement.
- To have an available calibration in Setup > Calibration. See Perform calibration for HPA device.
-
If you do not perform the RF generator raw power calibration following a
coaxial or unsexed power calibration, click on Setup > Calibration
and select an available calibration. In Additional actions, click on
Raw power calibration.
-
Hardware configuration check
All the measurement hardware needed for calibration must be correctly set. If so, all hardware is marked with
. Then, click on
.

Frequency and power settings
By default, a frequency list based on the selected calibration is loaded. You can view or modify the frequencies by clicking on
. Set Pinitial raw power and Plimit at calibration reference plane.

Bench configuration
Set up your measurement bench as shown in the following figure. Don't forget to check the 10 MHz signal configuration between the external signal generator and the VNA. The procedure consists of measuring the loss and gain between source 1 and the calibration reference plane at each frequency. If you intend to use a booster amplifier between the source 1 and input coupler of the test bench during measurement, place it in the measurement bench before the calibration procedure. Click on
to perform raw power calibration.

Calibration
The graph shows the calculations of the losses or gains for each power of the source 1 and for each frequency. You can thus check the linearity between source 1 and the reference plane over the previously defined power range. Click on Next >Finish. The RF generator raw power calibration is complete.
