The active or passive load-pull test bench allows 
determining the optimal operating conditions of transistors, by generating impedance contours that can be used to optimize the tradeoff between output power at 1 dB compression (or more), power-added-efficiency (PAE), power gain, and third-order-intermediation distortion (C/I3).
Moreover AMCAD Engineering performs pulsed load-pull measurements, in order to validate its electro-thermal non-linear models, to test customer component thermal behavior. Typically, these measurements are useful for RADAR applications.
